The Microsoft Lifecam camera included with Oculus Prime has autofocus, but it reacts horribly slowly, and needs to be set to infinity-only for auto-docking to work.

You’ll need to install the v4l2-ctl utility, which is done by entering the command:

sudo apt-get install v4l-utils

Then, with the camera USB plugged in, do:

v4l2-ctl --verbose --set-ctrl=focus_auto=0

Then do:

v4l2-ctl --verbose --set-ctrl=focus_absolute=0
